The ten/ten anniversary celebration was a big success

Lynlee and Dan Ritchie enjoying refreshments at our Tenth Anniversary Celebration on October 10.  Delicious food from Grocery Outlet, wonderful harp music from Jake Woodward, and fantastic volunteers made this an event to remember for the next 10 years.

Join us for our 10 Year Food Bank Anniversary Celebration

Just some of the delightful decorations you’ll see at our Anniversary Celebration on October 10 from 6 PM to 8 PM.  Join us for great company, music, food, and the chance to taste 10 different types of wine.  Top donors for the month of October will recieve a specially crafted bag with wine and gourmet chocolates from Bargello Bakery.

Welcome Christine!

Please join us in welcoming our new Americorp volunteer Christine Ball-Blakely. Christine was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. She and her husband, Michael, recently made the move to Seattle along with their two Dachshunds, Pretzel and Sugar. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.A. in philosophy and political science. Christine’s passions include playing with her dogs, being in the great outdoors, cooking, and reading.

Outdoor Movies at Magnuson Park

Round Up Hunger Barrels on Display

Here we are setting up our booth at the Lake City Pioneer Days Festival.  As you can see the donation barrels are all very creative and colorful.  A big thank you goes to everyone who participated.  So far we have collected over 3000 pounds of food for the food bank.

Barrels are rolling in

Thanks to our wonderful community, the decorated and filled barrels for our Round Up Hunger contest are rolling in. Our food supply is at an all time low so we are very greatful for the donations. If you have any extra food around please remember us–we can still use more.

Please help Fill our Donation Barrels

Please help us fill those barrels. 35 barrels are out in our community at stores, churches and community centers and we need your help filling them. Our food supply is at an all time low. They will be decorated to help Round up Hunger and we need your help filling them. Welcome Jake, our new Distribution Manager.  Alecia and Aric show Jake the ropes at our Wednesday food bank distribution.  We’re very happy to have Jake on board.  Jake has been a distribution manager for Food Lifeline, so he’s able to jump right in and go to work.
